Heveningham Concours is one of the premier world-wide heritage motoring events. It is held yearly at Heveningham Hall in Suffolk. All proceeds & profits from Heveningham Concours go into a charitable trust which funds a host of things that include various community care facilities, equipment for local schools and an ‘i-mobility’ design scholarship at the Royal College of Art.
“The brand & communications projects that Symbolwork has worked with us on is beyond brilliant and we expect the remarkable quality to continue over the years. It has helped us transform the experience that car owners and visitors have at Heveningham Concours for the better.”
The logo embodies key visual motifs that are unique to Heveningham Concours. The most prominent is the Lamborghini Miura SV, a previous winner of the concours and a car that signifies the automotive transition to the ‘supercar’ era in which we live. Behind this is a cedar of Lebanon, a distinctive tree that looks over the terraces behind Heveningham Hall. The terraces themselves feature in graphic form too, as the paths which the guide the spitfire, itself a perennial favourite at the event. The circular form of the logo, with the black text area, mirrors a graphic form of a car wheel. The space between the two words, at either side, is filled with ‘rivets’ of the type one sees on the Miura Jota, a variant of the car pictured, that has also featured at the concours. The rivets also bring to mind the cars as they line up on the terraces.
